You can use your Interrail ticket as a normal ticket, so you simply board the train and show the day's QR-code available in the DiscoverEU Travel App when asked from a ticket-inspector.If you want to travel on more luxurious trains, such as high-speed or overnight services, a seat reservation ticket might also need to be shown. These need to be purchased separately, and come at varying price levels. However, these fees can easily be avoided by following these tips should you prefer to skip the additional expenses.
When should I activate my Interrail mobile Pass?
With the Interrail Pass, the dates on which you travel remain flexible. However, do note that you will need to start your travel period by the 31st of May 2023 if you have won your pass in May 2022, or by the 30th of January 2024 if you have won your Pass in January 2023.
