There are some countries that are not included in our Planner. This includes the United Kingdom, Spain, The Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), as well as Turkey and several other countries in Eastern Europe. Your Pass is still valid in these countries though, so you can still travel here if you like! Here are some steps you should take when planning a trip here:
- Find a train itinerary: Check the website of the national railway company for the train schedule. You can find an overview of all railway company websites on the website of Interrail.
- Check for reservation requirements: Have a look at the Country Guides on Interrail's website, to see if any trains require a seat reservation. The country guide will also let you know how you can make these reservations.
- Add the train to your Pass: Once you found a train you'd like to take, please add these to your Pass manually. You can do this by filling out non-existing stations in the planner, after which you'll get the option to 'add the journey manually'. Please select this option, fill out the short form with your train details, and save this information. This train will then be saved to your My Trip section in the app, from where you can activate it just like you would with other trains.
Tip: Be sure to check the Pass Benefits for these countries as well. Some of these countries might not have international train connections as of now (which remain suspended since Covid), and your Pass can offer certain discounts on alternative means of transport.
