Financial delay compensation is unfortunately not applicable to DiscoverEU Passes, as the compensation amount is calculated based on the ticket price. Since the Passes are provided free of charge, this means no monetary compensation can be given. If you do face a delay during your trip, please reach out directly to the train company, or your travel insurance. The train company is responsible for making sure that your rights as passengers are respected. In case of delay or cancellation, they are your first point of contact. If you had seat reservations booked through the Eurail booking system, and you were not able to make the train or it was cancelled, please contact us with a copy of the reservation and proof of the delay. We can then check if any refund of the seat reservation costs can be considered, depending on the circumstances.
